Women’s Ministry
All women across the church are invited to connect and be in shared ministry with one another. These ministry initiatives welcome all women, anyone who identifies as a woman, or someone who connects with the ministry offerings.
Women’s Ministry at Myers Park UMC is ever-evolving and includes offerings such as our Annual Women’s Retreat, small groups, traditional United Methodist Women’s circles, and moms groups. If you would like to learn more or are interested in starting a new women’s initiative, email Rev. Jessica Dayson at jdayson@mpumc.org.

2024 Women’s Retreat
ReCreate, February 9-11 Montreat Conference Center, Black Mountain:
We will explore how God uses all parts of who we are – including the broken parts – and can recreate something beautiful, meaningful, and impactful. That even when everything feels like it’s falling apart and life is left in pieces…God is with us, helping put the pieces back together, holding it together, and with us in the midst of it all. How do we look at our lives, see the blessings and brokenness, and continue to have hope and strive toward the Kingdom of God? Join us for a weekend of friendship, connection, prayer, worship, and rest in the presence of God!
We are excited to have Rev. Sara Beth Pannell as our speaker. Sara Beth grew up in a small town near Greensboro, NC, and found her way to the United Methodist Church during college, thanks to the Wesley Campus Ministry at UNC Chapel Hill. A Tar Heel born and bred, she still laughs at the fact that this journey of ministry led her to Duke University for Divinity School. Sara Beth is an ordained Elder in the North Carolina Conference of the UMC and currently serves as the Minister of Discipleship at First United Methodist Church in Newton, NC. She loves a good cup of coffee, a hike in the mountains with her husband, and the chance to walk with people in their journey of faith.
