Armenia mission trip and information meeting
Trip is July 18-30, 2020. Come to trip Information Meeting Dec. 12 at 6:00pm
Join us on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6:00 p.m. at our Armenia Mission Trip Information Meeting in Room 105. Team Leader, Chris Lepore, will share details of our upcoming 2020 trip to Armenia. Having traveled to Armenia with our mission team previously, Chris will be able to answer questions that you may have about traveling to this region.
Read further for the tentative plan for the 2020 trip: We will arrive in the Armenian capital of Yerevan and spend a full day there exploring the historical sites around the city. We will then travel to the town of Berdzor in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. This region has high unemployment and extreme poverty. Our mission will be to work with Project AGAPE which runs a hospital, orphanage, Christian Education Center, and service center.
The team will help rehabilitate a home for a family and possible do some other work on the facilities run by Project AGAPE. Most importantly, our team will be present to build relationships with our brothers and sisters in an isolated region.
Throughout the trip, the mission team will also visit historic places in the first country in the world to establish Christianity as a state religion (301 A.D.) including the St. Gregory Church and monastery and the Tatev monastery. At these sites, we hope to spend time in guided spiritual reflection and meditation.
