This seven-week class explores the Christian understanding of suffering and the ways God’s grace meets us there. Drawing from the book of Job and other Scriptures, Christian theology, and personal stories, we will explore how suffering can shape our understanding of God and ourselves, while discovering practices that help us live with greater compassion, resilience, and hope. For the first half hour, the group shares updates and prayer requests and reads a shared book of theological and spiritual insight, intended to challenge and provoke one to further contemplation. For the second half hour, the group engages in silent, centering prayer. To learn more, email Linda Myers.
