“I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me. I was naked and you gave me clothes to wear. I was sick and you took care of me. I was in prison and you visited me. Then the king will reply to them, ‘I assure you that when you have done it for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you have done it for me.” -Matthew 25:35-36;40

-bringing the whole of human life into conformity with the will of God,
-and showing that reconciliation involves personal, social and civic righteousness

Brookhill Community Resource Center

MEET OUR PARTNER: The Brookhill Community Resource Center is a partnership between the Brookhill community in the west side of Charlotte and our sister church, South Tryon Community UMC. The center was formed to support and empower the residents of Brookhill as they seek affordable housing (construction is planned on the site), job opportunities, and skills training. BCRC has partnered with several non profit partners, including CareRing, Crisis Assistance Ministry, Beds for Kids, Center for Community Transitions, and more to provide services on site in the newly refurbished center. In addition, our church has sponsored a community meal, Trinity’s Table, on Thursdays at STCUMC for many years.
ENGAGE: Regular programs are currently postponed, but the church and BCRC are partnering to provide daily meals to residents of the greater community. For more information, email Britt, Missions program director at byett@mpumc.org.
