Wonderfully Made is a seminar and workshop designed for fifth graders and their parents to help them explore “growing up.” As the author of one of the resources we use states, “God has had in mind a path by which you would move from childhood to adulthood. You’ve been walking that path since you were born, but now it’s time for your leisurely stroll to shift into a jog (maybe even a full-blown run?).”
In the past, Wonderfully Made has been offered as a one-day event with sessions that include biological information, communication, and affirmation of God’s good creation. Parents and fifth graders work together and separately as they explore this thing called adolescence! The event is led by an experienced team of adults.
Due to the rapid rise in the community spread of COVID-19, in an abundance of caution, heeding the counsel of our Medical Advisory team, we must limit in-person activities for the foreseeable future. Therefore, Wonderfully Made will be offered via Zoom this year on Sunday, February 28 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (including morning break, lunch break and afternoon break.) The workshop is $10 per family to cover materials.
Please register and pay online at the following link: Wonderfully Made Registration. The last day to register is Monday, February 22.
Parents MUST attend with their 5th grader. There will be a session or two where children will be divided into small breakout rooms based on gender and led by adult leaders. During this time parents will leave the room so children can have their small group time lasting approximately 20-30 minutes.
