Pastor/author/activist Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove joins us at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, in Jubilee Hall to lead a dialogue on “The Uneasy Legacy Of Race And Religion In Our New South City.” He is the author of “Reconstructing The Gospel” available in the Goodness Gracious! gift shop in the Parish Life lobby. Jonathan, who lives in Durh am, talks about the coming conversation: “Since this book c ame out in the Spring, I’ve been facilitating conversations around the country about how america’s history of white supremacy has compromised Christianity, and how, at the s ame time, the faith of Jesus has always challenged racial injustice. I’m looking forward to this conversation because I’ve seen how it can bring healing and a fresh vitality to the gospel message, especially for people who are ready to face the truth about our present moral crisis in america.
