Myers Park United Methodist Church | 01/30/2017 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
On Monday, January 30 at 7:00 p.m., Rev. Matt Rawle, renowned theologian and author of The Faith of a Mockingbird and other books, will talk with us about the theological and social r amifications of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird (and also a little with Go Set a Watchman). This will be the first in a year-long series called the Pastor’s Book Club: Dr. Howell will recommend a book for all of us to read, and then discuss with him or an outside expert.
This progr am is part of the Reconciliation with God and Others series designed to deepen the churchwide conversation sparked by these days of unrest, and a yearning to do something about it.
