HELP FILL THE BUS FOR HAITI HURRICANE RELIEF!

DROP OFF days are MONDAY-FRIDAY only.

In October Hurricane Matthew made landfall in Haiti, as a category 4 hurricane it was the most powerful storm since 2007. Our friends in Bayonnais, Haiti are now facing a dire need of food due to all of their crops being destroyed. In response, our church is participating in a FILL THE BUS c ampaign. We will fill a school bus with bags of rice and beans. The bus will be driven to Mi ami and then shipped to Haiti filled with the food. The bus will be parked in the Hopedale lot across from the church and will be available for food drop off MON-FRI only until November 8. It will be driven to other church collection sites on the weekends. The best sizes of bags of rice or beans are the 15-lb. or 50-lb. bags available at the warehouse stores, but 3-5lb. bags from grocery store are also acceptable.

Another way to help our brothers and sisters in Haiti: make a contribution to HAITI HURRICANE RELIEF. You can also write a check to the church, put Haiti Relief on the memo line and place in the offering plate, drop at reception desk or mail to the church at MPUMC, 1501 Queens Road, Charlotte, NC 28207. You may also text MPUMC Disaster to 73256 to give to the disaster relief fund using your text messaging.
