Civil Conversations

Myers Park United Methodist Church | 09/12/2016 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

In these divisive times, a compelling progr am: At 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, in Jubilee Hall, Dr. Howell and Molly Barker will explore how to have a civil conversation with someone we don’t know or understand. “An important skill set for Christians in our combative culture,” Dr. Howell says. Molly founded Girls on the Run, which uses running to help empower girls. Her new cause is the nonprofit Red Boot Coalition, which aims to combat the culture’s polarization. The progr am comes amid the continuing conversation at the church on race and reconciliation.
