On Mondays, January 11 and 25, Suzanne Henderson, PhD, Associate Professor of Religion at Queens University will visit with us to present “Being Church in 2016: Mark’s Template for Christian Community.” Meeting from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in room 107-08, Dr. Henderson will consider such provocative questions of our faith as: What is the kingdom of God and why does it matter? Why did Jesus die and what did his death save us from?
Dr. Henderson has published widely in the field of New Test ament studies. Her areas of expertise include the Gospel of Mark, the letters of Paul and the historical Jesus. An ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), she joined the Queens faculty in 2008, where she teaches courses in Bible, World Religions, and the Honors Progr am, which she also directs.
